Me Made May 2017: Day 17

Hello!

Here is a little frock I made for a two year old when I first met her. Niranjana, she is smart and sweet little daughter of my friend.

Day 17
The frock is made of south cotton fabric in orange colour.
And has soft pink lace adding to its beauty.
I made a little lace flower in the corner too!

See you tomorrow with a suit and me in new hair cut!

Me Made May 2017: Day 11

Hi Here!

As I said

Day 11
Yet another slip for my daughter.
Love the feel of pure white fine cotton against the skin..

Closeup of crochet lace on all edges..

Here is a Rabbit running around with a bunch of flowers..
Again simple stitches as
Stem, chain and button hole.

I love the use of cotton fabric slips for little girls.

Me Made May 2017: Day 10

Hi Everyone!

Today and tomorrow I share some Old world Charm we all enjoyed as children!

Day 10

A slip made of pure fine cotton fabric with little embroidery..

Here is the slip I sew for my 8 year old.
There are crocheted lace on all edges..
The slip is loose fit with big armholes and little gather on the waist...

Here is a close up of the lace..
Simple but beautiful...

Mr Pig in his garden taking care of his flowering plants...
I made this embroidery with simple stitches like..
Stem, chain and button hole.

The slip is ready.
As I, and as many of you used to wear cotton slips in childhood; I prefer them to today's hosiery/ T-shirt/ jersey material factory made spaghettis.
My daughter adores it..
Fun to watch her wear this and potter around...

Shall show you another one tomorrow!

Me Made May 2017: Day 7

Hello Sunday!
Hi Everyone!

Day 7:

The fabric is Mekhala or wrap around from certain part of Assam, India.
The cloth is woven with a border in the lower part only.
This particular fabric is a check weave with yellow and dark blue threads
With woven border in lower part in yellow, white, green and blue.
This is like a shirt dress without collar..
Front button down...

I team it with jeans or leggings..

Hope you enjoyed the journey so far...
See You tomorrow with yet another of my creations..
