Me Made May 2017: Day 13

Hi there!

Today with holiday for kids and hubby,
We went visiting the Birla Industrial and Technological Museum.
Great job !
Amazingly good!
Shall bring my kids back again here when they grow to middle or senior school!

What did I wear in this peak summer?
Day 13
Peasant top made of cotton printed fabric.
Added a few beads for show in the the little "V" of the neck..
The edges and the sleeves have red crochet lace...

The weather is better now in the evening...
See you tomorrow!

Me Made May 2017: Day 10

Hi Everyone!

Today and tomorrow I share some Old world Charm we all enjoyed as children!

Day 10

A slip made of pure fine cotton fabric with little embroidery..

Here is the slip I sew for my 8 year old.
There are crocheted lace on all edges..
The slip is loose fit with big armholes and little gather on the waist...

Here is a close up of the lace..
Simple but beautiful...

Mr Pig in his garden taking care of his flowering plants...
I made this embroidery with simple stitches like..
Stem, chain and button hole.

The slip is ready.
As I, and as many of you used to wear cotton slips in childhood; I prefer them to today's hosiery/ T-shirt/ jersey material factory made spaghettis.
My daughter adores it..
Fun to watch her wear this and potter around...

Shall show you another one tomorrow!

Me Made May 2017: Day 2

Hi Everyone!
Its fun doing this!

Day 2

We went for dinner the other night and here is a pic from the venue site.
Please excuse the lighting

I loved the block jungle print with gold in between.
Here I made a short kurti or top for myself.
Highlighting the neck and borders are little crochet edging in off-white.
Specially like the V neck with crochet lace peeping out...

Lovely casual wear!
See You tomorrow with something again!

CROCHET RUNNER WITH HEART ENDS!

Hi!
As everyone is celebrating Love this month
Am sharing a crochet runner
With Heart crochet ends!

My Mamma had made four similar doilies for me more than a decade back. They stayed with me in boxes safe without finding a purpose in the house.
Then one day I decided to do something with them...

I found this lovely pattern in an old-old book of my old-old Aunt, the cover of whose is lost. So thanks to the publisher and the creator of this pattern!

Made three small squares with this pattern and joined the four doilies.

Next using the same pattern, I made two heart shapes and added tassels.

Here my doilies have become a runner...

My crochet runner on side board...
All handmade items are valuable and always find a place and purpose...
In this pic is also a Faux Malachite box whose diy tutorial
I have shared in earlier post.
